Determination of the reference symmetry axis of a generally bianisotropic electromagnetic medium which could be approximately rotationally invariant

Summary

For a given constitutive tensor of a generally bianisotropic medium, we estimate to which extent is the medium rotationally invariant and determine the direction of its reference symmetry axis in terms of the reference symmetry vector. If the medium is exactly rotationally invariant, we obtain its symmetry axis.
